**The Essential Life Skills for Success program is a NEW and unique concept that has been written by the Gollatz Team for the more mature student. The young adults will lean and practice life skills not taught anywhere in such a professional setting else but are vital for present and future success. (The Life Skill program is not a continuation of the "Cotillion" program or " Supper Club".

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 ~ Social Instruction: How to introduce yourself to others, begin a conversation and continue the conversation with small talk. different handshakes and their meanings, direct eye-contact with others, where do you place your name tag, how to correctly address an envelope to mail, responding to an invitation and gifting an appropriate gift, how to write a thank you note, the commanding of 911 emergency, how to shut off your utilities at home. *Please note dress code.
Tuesday, October 22, 2019 ~ Social Instruction: How to sew on a button, how to read a measuring cup and spoon, different dress codes, how to write a resume, understanding and navigating a bank check and statement. *Please note dress code.
Tuesday, December 3, 2019 ~ Social Instruction: The table setting, including where the different utensils are located, how to correctly use a fork and knife, tipping, chop sticks, debit card, ATM cards and statements, surcharges, how to read and dissect an inch of measurement.
Tuesday, January 7, 2020 ~ Social Instruction: Basic self-defense for both girls and boys. instructed by Detective Floyd Blue of the Rialto Police Department. Detective Blue has 20+ years' experience on the Police force as a homicide detective and his specialty is teaching children escape techniques. Please note: If your child would not like to actively participate in the self-defense class they are welcome to observe. *Please attend with lose fitting clothes, see dress code
Dress Code (only) Essential Life Skills for Success:
Girls: A simple, modest dress and low heels.
Boys: Dress shirt, necktie and nice pants, a blazer is required.
Exception: The self-defense evening, please wear lose comfortable clothes. Tennis shoes, sweat pants and t-shirts are required. Please no shorts, sandals, or dress attire.
