*The Senior Club with Life Skills events is a unique concept for the more mature student. The young adults will learn and practice life skills along with "Cotillion" type dancing in a fun, professional setting. (The Senior Club with Life Skills is not a continuation of the younger "Cotillion" program or a type of " Supper Club").

Tuesday, September 29, 2020 ~ Social Instruction: How to introduce yourself to others, begin a conversation and continue the conversation with small talk, using direct eye-contact with others, where to place your name tag and basic public speaking. Included within the evening there will be advanced Cotillion type dancing. *Please note Senior Club dress code.
Tuesday, October 20, 2020 ~ Social Instruction: How to sew on a button, learning the correct tipping percentage and surcharges. Included within the evening there will be advanced Cotillion type dancing. *Please note Senior Club dress code.
Tuesday, November 17, 2020 ~ Social Instruction: How to cut different foods using a fork and knife, the table setting including where the different utensils are located, the usage of chopsticks. Included within the evening there will be advanced Cotillion type dancing.

Tuesday, January 19, 2021 ~ Social Instruction: Basic self-defense for both girls and boys. instructed by Detective Floyd Blue of the Rialto Police Department. Detective Blue has 20+ years' experience on the Police force as a homicide detective and his specialty is teaching children escape techniques. Please note: If your child would not like to actively participate in the self-defense class they are welcome to observe. *Please attend with lose fitting clothes, see dress code
Dress Code for the Senior Club with Life Skills Series (only):
Girls: A simple, modest dress and low heels. .
Boys: Dress shirt, necktie and nice pants, a blazer is optional.
Exception: The self-defense evening- please wear lose comfortable clothes and the students may wear tennis shoes. Do not have your child dress in informal attire.
