The Gollatz Cotillion Celebrates 94 Years in 2026

                                                Welcome to the Gollatz Cotillion

The Gollatz Team of Instructor’s is pleased to invite your child to the Gollatz Cotillion, a program designed to enhance your child’s social skills and build confidence through guided social interactions. At the Gollatz Cotillion we believe that confidence, courtesy, and strong social skills are essential for every child's success. Our experienced team of instructors is dedicated to helping children develop these lifelong skills in a fun, supportive environment.    

About the Program

The Gollatz Cotillion is designed for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 6th. Our programs combine modern etiquette with engaging activities to help make students feel comfortable and confident. Through real-life scenarios and fun Cotillion style dancing, students will gain invaluable skills, all while having fun and a great time!                       

​A Few of the Many Manners the Students Will Learn

  • Practice good manners and respectful behavior   

  • Understand the table setting and correctly use each utensil 

  • Develop conversation skills 

  • First impressions and a meaningful hand shake

  • Learn the basic of Cotillion - style dancing

  • Social interactions

  • For the older students - Digital Social Usage and Etiquette Awareness

  • Experience a live band at each of the Cotillion events

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 ~ Welcome to the Gollatz Cotillion ~ Participants will learn essential skills such as making a positive first impression; maintaining eye contact during conversations; making proper introductions; giving and receiving compliments; perfecting the handshake and dining skills all while enjoying Cotillion-style dances. We ask that your child is prepared and adhere to the Cotillion dress code (refer to the "dress code" for details).

 

​Tuesday, October 20, 2026 ~ The Table Setting ~We are looking forward to this evening’s Cotillion which will concentrate on the proper silverware usage. Students will be instructed on how to effectively use a fork and knife, including techniques for cutting “individual” bites. All grades will participate in the fun “Let’s Set the Table” game to help them develop essential dining skills. The older students will receive targeted training on “Digital Social Usage Etiquette and Awareness” which addresses the courteous use of earbuds, headphones, tablets, phones and various smartwatches. As a reminder, please adhere to the Cotillion dress code.

Tuesday, November 17, 2026 ~ Soup and More! ~ Join us this month for an engaging event focused on the art of soup consumption. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious soup course while practicing their new skills in a fun atmosphere. The 3rd and 4th graders will review their newly acquired table manners, while the older students will be taught the timeless skill of tying a necktie. Ensure your child does not miss out on this unique learning opportunity!

Tuesday, December 8, 2026 ~ Dinner is Served ~ All students will partake in a dinner that necessitates the use of a fork and knife while applying cutting techniques acquired in the previous Cotillion sessions. Punctuality is essential, as those who are late may forfeit the chance to dine next to friends. The dinner is reserved exclusively for the registered Cotillion students. **If your child has dietary restrictions, please notify the Gollatz office at least 72 hours prior to the class.

 

Tuesday, January 26, 2027 ~ The Family Night Finale ~ The Family Night Finale is a unique occasion designed for Cotillion students and their families (siblings included) to celebrate and enjoy a fun filled evening with the family (even a dance or two!). Beverages will be provided for everyone. Make it an evening of cherished memories, be sure to bring your camera!

We take great pride in our distinguished alumni, including two United States Presidential families who have been personally instructed by the Gollatz Cotillion. Our fun and engaging social skills series is designed to teach children the importance of manners, courtesy, and communication. Our experienced instructors work closely with each student to build confidence and develop strong social skills that will last a lifetime. The Gollatz Cotillion is available by special request.

                                         

**The  Gollatz Cotillion can accommodate most dietary restrictions however, some dietary restrictions are life threatening. It is asked of the families with children who have severe food restrictions that you provide their personal food items as this guarantees the safety and well - being of your child. Please contact the Cotillion office to discuss food/meal accommodations. **
