                                                Welcome to the Gollatz Cotillion

The Gollatz Team of Instructor’s is pleased to invite your child to the Gollatz Cotillion, a program designed to enhance your child’s social skills and build confidence through guided social interactions. At the Gollatz Cotillion we believe that confidence, courtesy, and strong social skills are essential for every child's success. Our experienced team of instructors is dedicated to helping children develop these lifelong skills in a fun, supportive environment.    

About the Program

The Gollatz Cotillion is designed for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 6th. Our programs combine modern etiquette with engaging activities to help make students feel comfortable and confident. Through real-life scenarios and fun Cotillion style dancing, students will gain invaluable skills, all while having fun and a great time!                       

​A Few of the Many Manners the Students Will Learn

  • Practice good manners and respectful behavior   

  • Understand the table setting and correctly use each utensil 

  • Develop conversation skills 

  • First impressions and a meaningful hand shake

  • Learn the basic of Cotillion - style dancing

  • Social interactions

  • For the older students - Digital Social Usage and Etiquette Awareness

  • A complete dinner is served to the participants at four of the events

Monday, September 28, 2026 ~ Welcome to The Gollatz Cotillion ~ Participants will learn essential skills such as making a positive first impression; maintaining eye contact during conversations; introduce themselves; giving and receiving compliments; perfecting the handshake and dining skills all while enjoying Cotillion-style dances. We ask that your child is prepared and adhere to the Cotillion dress code (refer to the "dress code" for details). A complete dinner is served to each registered student.

​Monday, October 26, 2026 ~ The Table Setting ~ We are looking forward to this evening’s Cotillion which will concentrate on the proper silverware usage. Students will be instructed on how to effectively use a fork and knife, including techniques for cutting “individual” bites. All grades will participate in the fun “Let’s Set the Table” game to help them develop essential dining skills. The older students will receive targeted training on “Digital Social Usage Etiquette and Awareness” which addresses the courteous use of earbuds, headphones, tablets, phones and various smartwatches. A complete dinner is served to each registered student and please continue to adhere to the Cotillion dress code.

Monday, November 30, 2026 ~ Soup and More! ~ Join us this month for an engaging event focused on the art of soup consumption. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious soup course while practicing their new skills in a fun atmosphere. The 3rd and 4th graders will review their newly acquired table manners, while the older students will be taught the timeless skill of tying a necktie. Ensure your child does not miss out on this unique learning opportunity. A complete dinner is served to each registered student

Monday, January 11, 2027 ~  Spaghetti is served ~ The students will enjoy a spaghetti dinner that requires the use of a fork and knife, following the cutting techniques learned in the previous Cotillion meeting and using small bites chewing with our mouths closed. As always, dinner is served to the registered Cotillion students. 

 

Monday, February 8, 2027 ~ The Family Night Finale  ~ All grades combined from 5:00pm to 6:15pm ~ The Family Night Finale is a unique occasion designed for Cotillion students and their families (siblings included) to celebrate and enjoy a fun filled evening with the family (even a dance or two!). Beverages will be provided for everyone. Make it an evening of cherished memories, be sure to bring your camera!

​We take great pride in our distinguished alumni, including two United States Presidential families who have been personally instructed by the Gollatz Cotillion family of Instructors.

 

Our fun and engaging social skills series is designed to teach children the importance of manners, courtesy, and communication. Our experienced instructors work closely with each student to build confidence and develop strong social skills that will last a lifetime. 

 

**The Gollatz Cotillion can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Some restrictions are life threatening. It is asked of the family with children who have severe food restrictions that you provide their food as this guarantees the safety and well - being of the child. Please contact the Cotillion office to discuss accommodations. **
