​ Welcome to the Gollatz Cotillion
​
At the Gollatz Cotillion we strive to give children the essential social skills and manners that can be utilized throughout their lives. The Gollatz Team of Instructors believes that social skills and good manners are as important as academic success for children. The classes are designed for both boys and girls in grades fourth through eighth.
The engaging and interactive classes are thoughtfully designed to make learning etiquette enjoyable. Through real-life scenarios and fun Cotillion style dancing, students will gain invaluable skills, all while having fun and a great time!

Throughout the Cotillion season, each class will address a range of important topics including: how to navigate social gatherings; introducing oneself to others; maintaining eye contact during conversations; how to make a toast; being a gracious guest; and mastering dining skills (such as proper utensil use and the place setting) and so much more..
Join us as we help shape confident, courteous young adults.

2025 - 2026 Schedule of Dates
Monday, September 29, 2025 ~ Welcome to The Gollatz Cotillion ~ The Cotillion will begin with essential skills such as making a great first impression; mastering direct eye contact; introductions; giving and receiving compliments; and the handshake all while learning and enjoying Cotillion-style dancing. Additional instruction for grades 6th - 8th we will be addressing good posture; the importance of presenting oneself; body language and hygiene. Dinner is provided for our registered students. Please remember that adhering to the correct Cotillion dress code is required (see "dress code" tab listed above for the attire).

Monday, October 20, 2025 ~ The Table Setting ~ Join the Gollatz Team this month for a unique class designed to learn about the table setting and proper silverware usage. Our engaging instruction includes a fun game of 'let's set the table' for all grades complete with Cotillion-style dancing. Dinner is served exclusively to the registered student. This is an ideal opportunity for children to gain valuable skills in a fun environment. Additional instruction for grades 6th - 8th will learn how to tie a necktie.

Monday, November 10, 2025 ~ Let's Learn About Soup ~ Join us for an exciting educational event where students will master the art of enjoying soup! Participants will be served a delicious dinner featuring a soup course with the opportunity to practice their new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Additionally, students in grades 6th - 8th will learn how to write a thoughtful thank you note whether on paper or electronic device. Don't miss out on this unique learning experience!

Monday, January 12, 2026 ~ Our Final Dinner is Served ~ Join us for an engaging dinner event where students will practice their dining skills with a challenging meal that requires the use of a fork, knife and cutting each bite. This special meeting will highlight the manners and social skills they have developed throughout the year. For students in grades 6th - 8th there will be an insightful discussion on important topics such as greetings; punctuality; respecting boundaries; listening and kindness. Please remember that adherence to the Cotillion dress code is required for all attendees.

Monday, February 9, 2026 ~ Join us for the Family Night Finale ~ A special event designed for the entire family to create unforgettable memories together! The Cotillion band will entertain and beverages will be served to everyone. Cotillion attire is required for the Cotillion students, while guests can attend in casual or business attire. We can't wait to celebrate this memorable occasion with you!

​We take great pride in our distinguished alumni, including two United States Presidential families who have been personally instructed by the Gollatz Cotillion. Our fun and engaging social skills series is designed to teach children the importance of manners, courtesy, and communication. Our experienced instructors work closely with each student to build confidence and develop strong social skills that will last a lifetime. The Gollatz Cotillion is by invitation.

**The Gollatz Cotillion can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Some restrictions are life threatening. It is asked of the family with children who have severe food restrictions that you provide their food as this guarantees the safety and well - being of the child. Please contact the Cotillion office to discuss accommodations. **
