Welcome to the Gollatz Cotillion

The Gollatz Team of Instructor’s is pleased to invite your child to the Gollatz Cotillion, a program designed to enhance your child’s social skills and build confidence through guided social interactions. At the Gollatz Cotillion we believe that confidence, courtesy, and strong social skills are essential for every child's success. Our experienced team of instructors is dedicated to helping children develop these lifelong skills in a fun, supportive environment.    

About the Program

The Gollatz Cotillion is designed for boys and girls in grades 3rd through 6th. Our programs combine modern etiquette with engaging activities to help make students feel comfortable and confident. Through real-life scenarios and fun Cotillion style dancing, students will gain invaluable skills, all while having fun and a great time!                       

Through Interactive Lessons the Students Will:

·         Practice good manners and respectful behavior   

·         Understand the table setting and correctly use each utensil 

·         Develop conversation skills and social interactions

·        Know the importance of first impressions and a meaningful hand shake

·         Learn the basics of Cotillion - style dancing

·      ·         For the older students - Digital Social Usage and Etiquette Awareness

 

Dinner is Served at Four of the Cotillion Events to the Registered Students

  • Monday, September 28, 2026 ~ Welcome to The Gollatz Cotillion ~ The Gollatz Cotillion program is designed to help your child become proficient in making a great first impression; using direct eye contact; introductions; giving and receiving compliments; perfecting the handshake and dining skills while learning and enjoying Cotillion-style dancing. We kindly remind you to adhere to the Cotillion dress code (refer to the "dress code" tab for details). A complete dinner is served to each registered student.

 

  • Monday, October 26, 2026 ~ Soup and More! ~ Join us this month for an exciting event where students will learn and practice "how to eat soup". Participants will enjoy a delicious soup course in addition to their dinner service while practicing their new skills in a fun and supportive environment. The older 5th and 6th grades will be taught the classic skill of tying a necktie. Do not let your child miss out on this unique learning experience!

 

  • ​Monday, November 30, 2026 ~ The Table Setting ~ We are looking forward to this evening’s Cotillion which will concentrate on the proper silverware usage. Students will be instructed on how to effectively use a fork and knife, including techniques for cutting “individual” bites. All grades will participate in the fun “Let’s Set the Table” game to help them develop essential dining skills. As a reminder, please adhere to the Cotillion dress code.

 

  • Monday, January 11, 2027 ~ Spaghetti will be Served ~ The students will enjoy a spaghetti dinner that requires the use of a fork and knife, practicing the cutting techniques learned in the previous Cotillion lesson and taking small bites while chewing with their mouths closed. As always, the dinner is for registered Cotillion students. For those in 5th and 6th grades, the additional instruction will focus on “Digital Social Usage and Etiquette Awareness” in today’s social exposure.

 

  • Monday, February 8, 2027 ~ The Family Night Finale ~ All grades combined from 5:00pm to 6:15pm with a Live Band ~ The Family Night Finale is a special event designed for the Cotillion students, their family (including siblings) to celebrate together and enjoy the evening filled with fun. Beverages will be provided to everyone, making it a perfect way to create lasting memories.  Do not forget your camera!

 

             **If your child has any dietary restrictions, please notify the Gollatz office at least 72 hours prior to the Cotillion Class.

            **Cotillion is a fantastic way for friends to learn social skills, dance, and etiquette together in a fun, supportive environment.                                         Inviting friends not only builds confidence but also makes the group learning experience much more memorable.

We take great pride in our distinguished alumni, including two United States Presidential families who have been personally instructed by the Gollatz Cotillion. Our fun and engaging social skills series is designed to teach children the importance of manners, courtesy, and communication. Our experienced instructors work closely with each student to build confidence and develop strong social skills that will last a lifetime. The Gollatz Cotillion is available by special request.

**The Gollatz Cotillion can accommodate most dietary restrictions. Some restrictions are life threatening. It is asked of the family with children who have severe food restrictions that you provide their food as this guarantees the safety and well - being of the child. Please contact the Cotillion office to discuss accommodations. **
