The Young and Polite Dining Class A Special One-Night Only Event

Grades / Ages: 5+ years old through 3rd grade / Boys and Girls
The "Young and Polite Dining Class" is a fun and informative "hands-on" dining class for children ages five+ years old to 3rd grade, boys and girls. The "Young and Polite Dining Class" encourages basic dining skills, and table manners for young children while learning in a fun setting.
**In addition to the Young and Polite class, we are offering a supplemental fun puppet tool. It is the original limited edition of "Chippie" a handmade puppet created and designed by the renowned etiquette instructors Mr. and Mrs. Klapp . "Chippie"wears a "checking your manners badge" helps to remind a child about good behavior and manners and serves as a support tool to encourage good manners at home. "Chippie" is available for purchase at $28.00 (which includes shipping to be mailed to your address provided).
The "Young and Polite Dining Class" will expose a young child to a variety of simple yet important dining skills like reminding them to chew with their mouths closed; taking small bites; finishing the bite before talking; and what is considered finger foods; basic cutting and dining manners. Each student will be served a multi-course dinner with instruction.
This event is designed for students in grades/age 5 years+ through 3rd grade.
It is imperative that arrival is timely as the event begins promptly at 4:30pm.
**The Multi -Course Served Dinner Includes: Cheese and cracker display (appetizer), soup, fruit cup (salad),
main entree & with starch and vegetables, rolls and butter and desert with instruction on each course.
The dress code for the evening is considered casual attire, no blue jeans. The girls may wear a simple dress or pant outfit and the boys may wear nice pants (trousers), a sport shirt and necktie. A blazer for this evening is NOT required. A child does not need to be a member of any of the Gollatz Cotillion programs to join us at the "Young and Polite Dining Class".
Parents or an adult is requested to attend and observe (or be in close proximity) during the class due to the age of the children. A standard of good behavior that promotes respect and courtesy to everyone during the event is expected.

Please inform the Gollatz business office regarding any food allergies your child may have, if they are vegetarian or vegan, have dietary restrictions or religious beliefs. This is for the protection of your child and to provide an appropriate meal.

The Young and Polite event and dinner is for registered students of the class only

To offer the Young and Polite class there is a minimum guarantee of 25 students, if the minimum is not reached the class will be canceled. If the class is canceled you will be notified by April 6, 2026
You will be pleasantly surprised by what your child learns during this presentation.
